Legionnaires’ disease outbreak near downtown Toronto under investigation

An outbreak of Legionnaires’ disease near the downtown core is under investigation by Toronto Public Health (TPH).
In a news release issued Monday, health officials said the outbreak of the respiratory disease covers an approximately one-kilometre radius of the intersection of Bathurst and Dupont streets.
So far, six confirmed cases have been identified among people who live, work or have visited the area. TPH said the individuals became symptomatic between July 2 and July 26.
